Class Descriptions
Strong Bones
This class, led by Kate, will focus on improving bone density and muscle strength in a safe way, using small hand and ankle weights in both seated and standing positions (though participants may remain seated throughout if desired). The exercises are slow and controlled, for optimal benefit and safety. Strong Bones is perfect for anyone with osteopenia, osteoporosis, arthritis, weakness and/or balance issues. This class is open to all ages and abilities, and is offered with a 20% discount for individuals over the age of 65 – come join us!
Barre
This class, taught by McKenzie D’Angelo, is designed to bring you all the benefits of ballet training. Prior dance or ballet experience is not required, and perfection isn’t expected. Barre does not involve choreographed dances, rather high repetitions of low impact movement and stretches both with floor exercises and barre support. Barre is an excellent way to sculpt long lean muscles, improve posture and ease joint pain by strengthening just as dancers do on a daily basis. Barre classes are open to all ages and abilities with multiple variations to help each participant succeed at their comfort level.

Melanie, PT, will lead this full-body workout that blends cardio challenges with strength training in this fun and dynamic class. She will provide modifications for all fitness levels and finish with a good long stretch. You will leave feeling tired, but terrific! *Please bring clean sneakers to change into for this class!*
Streeeeeetch
This class, taught by Sonja, PT, is ideal for athletic adults – cyclists, swimmers, runners, and hikers – as well as all those looking to get a deeper stretch and improve their flexibility and spinal range of motion. She will lead you in both dynamic and static stretches that will help to reduce your risk of injury and chronic overuse syndromes as you hit the trails, pool, or field. *Please bring clean sneakers to change into for this class!*
